Introduction to wanhuayan


 

       Wanhuayan scenic spot is an UNESCO International popular science education base of karst geology, a national geopark, a national scenic spot, an AAAA tourist attraction and one of the top ten tourist caves in China. Located 12km southwest of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, it is a large developing underground river karst cave with a total length of about 10km. It belongs to typical karst landform (karst landform).

        The scenic area has beautiful mountains and rivers, fresh air and various stalactites. There are rich tourism resources such as lake and mountain scenery, geological relics, folk legends, cliff stone carvings, ancient bingbei (Dongbao) ruins and thrilling karst cave rafting. It has four characteristics: beautiful, strange scenery, thrilling and exciting, and cultural prosperity.

        

万华岩简介


       万华岩景区是联合国教科文组织国际岩溶地质科普教育基地,国家地质公园、国家级风景名胜区、AAAA级旅游景区、全国十大旅游名洞。位于湖南省郴州市西南方向12公里,是一处大型正在发育中的地下河溶洞,全长约10公里,属典型的岩溶地貌(喀斯特地貌)。

 

       景区内山清水秀,空气清新,钟乳石千姿百态。湖光山色、地质遗迹、民俗传说、摩崖石刻群、古兵备(洞堡)遗址及惊险刺激的溶洞漂流等旅游资源丰富,具有美轮美奂 ,景物奇异,惊险刺激,人文鼎盛四大特点。


       万华岩洞内景观精彩纷呈,钟乳累累,如禽若兽,拟人状物,惟妙惟肖,气势磅礴,别具一格。已开发景点25处,其中镇洞之宝“水下晶锥”全球仅两例,国内唯一,是世界罕见的溶洞奇观。“塔松傲雪”、“湘南风貌”、“石蛋生笋”、“艺术宝殿”、“溶洞漂流”堪称万华五绝。美国洞穴研究基金1988年联合多国科研专家来万华岩科考探险后盛赞“万华岩是一个漂亮的洞穴,可与世界上任何一个最壮丽的洞穴相媲美”。

       The landscape in Wanhua cave is wonderful, with numerous clocks and breasts, such as birds and animals, anthropomorphic things, lifelike, magnificent and unique. 25 scenic spots have been developed, of which there are only two cases of "underwater crystal cone", the treasure of Zhendong, which is the only one in China. It is a rare karst cave wonder in the world. "Tasong Aoxue", "Southern Hunan style", "stone egg bamboo shoots", "Art Palace" and "cave drifting" can be called the five wonders of Wanhua. In 1988, the US Cave Research Foundation, together with multinational scientific research experts, came to Wanhua rock for scientific research and exploration, and praised that "Wanhua rock is a beautiful cave, which can be comparable to any of the most magnificent caves in the world".
